Interstate 41 Road Construction

April 18, 2025

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will be reconstructing the Ballard Road Interchange in Appleton as a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and expand bike and pedestrian access. This project will result in multiple road closures that may impact your route to the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin Appleton Campus located at 2911 W. Evergreen Drive.

We encourage all visitors and volunteers to review the detour information (see image below) to plan accordingly. To help you navigate around these closures, please consider the following options:

From I-41 Northbound or Southbound:

  • Take the County N / Freedom Road exit
  • Head north on Freedom Road toward E. Evergreen Drive
  • Turn left at the first cross street onto E. Evergreen Drive
  • Follow Evergreen Drive until you see our facility on the right at 2911 W. Evergreen Drive

From Downtown Appleton or the East Side:

  • Use County OO / E. Northland Avenue heading toward Little Chute
  • Turn left onto N. French Road
  • At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto E. Evergreen Drive
  • Follow Evergreen Drive until you see our facility on the right at 2911 W. Evergreen Drive

From Hwy 441:

  • Head north on WI-441 N
  • Take the Northland Avenue exit (Exit 10)
  • Slight right onto the OO E. Northland Avenue ramp toward Little Chute
  • Use the left lane to merge onto E. Northland Avenue
  • Turn left onto N. French Road
  • At the traffic circle, take the first exit onto E. Evergreen Drive
  • Follow Evergreen Drive until you see our facility on the right at 2911 W. Evergreen Drive

We appreciate your patience during this time and encourage you to allow extra travel time. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to fighting hunger in our community.
