We Thank You For Your Support!
Hunger doesn’t take a day off, and neither do we. Across Eastern Wisconsin, families are working hard to make ends meet, but for too many, putting food on the table is still out of reach. Your donation provides more than meals – it offers stability, strength, and hope for a better future. Every dollar you give helps us provide fresh, healthy food to local food pantries, shelters, and meal programs to nourish families and strengthen communities. No contribution is too small because every act of kindness brings us closer to a hunger-free Wisconsin. Together, we can ensure everyone has a place at the table – and enough to eat.
Whether you’d like to make a one-time gift to provide immediate relief, or become a monthly donor to create lasting change, your generosity will directly help feed families, children, and seniors facing hunger in Eastern Wisconsin. Do you have a vehicle you no longer want or need, but would like to help those facing hunger in Eastern Wisconsin, while getting a tax deduction? Then you’ve come to the right place! Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has teamed up with local businesses to turn your wheels into meals!
It’s pretty simple – you donate your car, the car is auctioned, and the proceeds of that auction go directly to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and the fight against hunger!
For more information, contact Aaron L. Rice, Chief Development Officer by email at [email protected] or by phone at 414.831.6365.
Will you pick up or tow my vehicle?
Yes, the Greater Milwaukee Auto auction will contact you to schedule pick-up or tow. Your vehicle must be within 50 miles of the Greater Milwaukee Auto Auction in order to be picked up or towed. However, if you are able to drop off your vehicle with the title, more money from your donation will go towards fighting hunger in Eastern Wisconsin. Please let the Greater Milwaukee Auto auction know if this is your preference.
Vehicles can be dropped off at:
Greater Milwaukee Auto Auction

Milwaukee, WI 53224
If closed when you arrive, you may use the key drop box.
Will I receive a tax deduction when I donate a vehicle?
The tax deduction generally applies to those who itemize deductions on their Form 1040 federal tax return. The amount of the deduction depends on the actual sale price of the vehicle. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin will send you an acknowledgement letter with the gross sale amount after auction. Please check with a tax professional regarding your personal tax benefit.
What IRS forms will I need?
- IRS 4303 – A Donor’s Guide to Vehicle Donations
- IRS 526 – Charitable Contributions
- IRS 561 – Determining the Cash Value of Donated
- IRS 8283 – Noncash Charitable Contributions
- IRS 1098-C – Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats and Airplanes
What if I can't find my title?

Frequently Asked Questions
What is estate planning?
Estate planning is the process of protecting your family by deciding who will inherit your assets and how you wish for them to be distributed, typically done through a will.
Why do I need a will?
Having a will can help avoid confusion and potential conflicts among your loved ones, giving you peace of mind knowing your wishes will be followed. Without a will, state laws determine what happens to your assets, which may not align with your intentions.
What is a donor-advised fund (DAF) and why would I use one?
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a useful option for many reasons. For example, if you’re dealing with significant tax events and want to give to charity without deciding on the recipients right away, a donor-advised fund may be a useful tool. You will receive an immediate tax benefit while having time to distribute funds to charities over time. Contributions to these funds are also exempt from gift and estate tax, providing more financial benefits.
Can I use my IRA to make a gift?
Yes, you can use distributions from your IRA to make charitable gifts. Funds withdrawn from your IRA are subject to income tax, just like any other income source. You can then donate the net amount to charity, similar to income earned from salary or stock sales.
If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can redirect up to $100,000 of your IRA to charity annually. This amount is excluded from your gross income, providing a tax-efficient giving option.
