When FoodShare benefits are disrupted, families across Wisconsin face empty plates and uncertainty. The FarmShare Box Program helps bridge that gap, connecting local farms with local families facing food insecurity.
FoodShare supports 700,000 Wisconsinites and injects $1.3 billion into local economies each year. For every meal a food bank provides, FoodShare provides nine. So when those benefits are paused, even for a short time, the impact is profound.
Created to provide immediate relief during the government shutdown, each FarmShare box is filled with fresh, locally grown produce and delivered directly to a hunger relief partner for distribution to a family in need. Together, we can ensure our neighbors have access to the fresh, healthy food they deserve during these difficult times.
What’s Inside a FarmShare Box?:
Each FarmShare Box includes a pre-packed, balanced variety of farm-fresh produce, carefully selected to provide up to two weeks of nutritious food for a family. Fruits and vegetables are grown locally and packed and delivered safely to our hunger relief partners.

How It Works:
STEP ONE:
Make a monetary gift using the secure check-out below*. Every $50 donation funds one (1) FarmShare box.
STEP TWO:
With the help of local partners, we source and purchase fresh foods from local growers, which are then packed into FarmShare boxes.
STEP THREE:
FarmShare boxes are delivered directly to our hunger relief network who will distribute them to neighbors facing food insecurity.
*At check-out, please indicate whether there is a preferred county you would like the FarmShare box or boxes to be delivered to. We will then ensure a hunger relief partner within that county receives the box, or the box is delivered to a county with the greatest need.
