What is Double Up Food Bucks?

Double Up Food Bucks Wisconsin is a statewide healthy food incentive program that matches FoodShare purchases with additional dollars to spend on fruits and vegetables. When you shop at participating farmers markets, grocery stores, food cooperatives, CSA programs, and other eligible locations, you receive a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $20 per week.

How does Double Up Food Bucks work?

Visit a participating location and swipe your FoodShare (SNAP, EBT, food stamps) card for the amount you’d like to spend.

Receive tokens for your FoodShare and a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $20 per week of additional Double Up Bucks.

Use Double Up Bucks to purchase eligible fruits and vegetables and use your FoodShare tokens to buy any eligible food items.

What can I purchase with Double Up Bucks?

Fresh, cut, frozen, dried, and canned fruits and vegetables packed in water or 100% juice.

This program is administered through the State of Wisconsin’s Healthy Food Incentive Program and implemented by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Nutrition Incentive Network (WINI) that includes many statewide partners including University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm to Facts, UW Division of Extension, American Heart Association, Community Action Coalition, Central Wisconsin Farmers Market Collaborative, Wello, Southeast Wisconsin Farmers Market Collaborative, UW-Eau Claire, and Menomonie Market Food Co-op. Local programs such as Milwaukee Market Match, Green Bay Double Your Bucks, and Dane County Double Dollars are also supported through this program.
