Hosted by Oshkosh Corporation^®, in partnership with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, the eighth annual Feed the Body, Feed the Soul event returns on Thursday, September 18. This 12-hour celebration of volunteerism features over 1,000 volunteers coming together to package and prepare 200,000 pounds of rice, a high-demand staple at food pantries in Wisconsin.

Started back in 2007, Feed the Body, Feed the Soul has become a signature event for friends, families, business leaders, and co-workers. The product for this event is purchased by generous local sponsors, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin secures the product, hundreds of volunteers package the product, and it is then distributed to area food pantries.

This year’s event takes place at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will include live music throughout the day to feed volunteers’ souls and keep energy levels high.

Event organizers are still looking for volunteers to fill two-hour time slots throughout the day, primarily during the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. shift. All participants must be at least 10 years of age or older and signing up in advance for available slots is highly encouraged.
