Stuff the Bus Food Drive
Collect and sort food donations on Wednesday, November 25, 2015
For 18 years, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has partnered with 99.1 WMYX, MCTS and Pick 'n Save to host the state's largest food drive, Stuff the Bus. The outpouring of support from the community is a great way to get in the spirit of the season. This year's event is Wednesday, November 25. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old for safety purposes. We are in need of volunteers at the store location to collect food donations and at our warehouse to unload and sort product that comes back on the bus from the store. Volunteers should be able to lift 15-20 lbs. Please see the details below.

Drumstick Dash Packet Pick-Up
The Drumstick Dash 5K is a fun Thanksgiving morning tradition! You can be a part of the anticipation and excitement before the big race on Wednesday, November 25 at packet pick-up. This event benefits Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
Volunteers will help athletes pick up event information, race bib numbers and their participant shirt. The event is at Miller Park and volunteers will receive a cotton long-sleeved shirt. Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Volunteers ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Drumstick Dash 5K
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is in need of volunteers for the Drumstick Dash 5K, a fun Thanksgiving morning tradition that benefits the food bank. Your efforts will help raise much needed funds for Feeding America that will help feed people throughout the holiday season and beyond.
The event is on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26 at Miller Park and we need 100 volunteers to staff the event. Volunteers must be able to stand for their shift. Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Volunteers ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
The time frame varies by position but generally speaking help is needed from 6:30 a.m. - 12 noon.

Tuesday Volunteer Opportunities
We are now offering a new weekday opportunity for individuals. We are recruiting individual volunteers to help us sort and label food for those who are hungry in our communities every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
We are looking forward to building a group of regular Tuesday morning volunteers to help us prepare food for distribution to our community partners serving the hungry. Volunteers must be able to stand and lift up to 15 pounds. The volunteer events take place at our warehouse at 1700 W. Fond du Lac Avenue.
We’d like to register volunteers in advance of the event so we can prepare the work and supplies needed for the group. Register now!
Saturday Volunteer Opportunities
Many of our food donations need to be labeled or sorted. We are looking for up to 40 people per shift to help us prepare food donations to be distributed to people who are facing hunger in our communities.
The volunteer event takes place at our warehouse at 1700 W. Fond du Lac Avenue. Volunteers should be able to stand for the shift and lift up to 15 pounds. Youth ages 10-16 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Teens age 17 and older are eligible for this volunteer opportunity without adult supervision. Register now!
Ongoing Weekday Group Opportunities
Many of our food donations need to be labeled or sorted. Volunteer opportunities for groups of 10-30 people are available to help with these projects. Groups are scheduled for a 3 hour shift on weekday mornings or afternoons. These opportunities are scheduled in advance based on the needs of our operations department.
