Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is excited to announce another significant step forward in the fight to solve hunger thanks to a generous contribution from the Racine Community Foundation. Their recent donation of $10,000 will play a crucial role in our ongoing efforts to provide nourishing food to individuals and families in need.

In Racine County alone, nearly 15,000 people are facing food insecurity, constituting over 7.5% of the county’s population, as per the latest Map the Meal Gap data. The invaluable funds received from the Racine Community Foundation allows Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to procure a diverse range of food items, and enables our partner pantries in Racine County to offer guests the dignity of choice, empowering them to select items that best suit the needs of their families.

The $10,000 donation will specifically be allocated to acquire essential perishable items such as fresh produce, meat, and dairy, along with nutritious shelf-stable food products. This strategic allocation ensures a balanced and healthy supply of food for those relying on our services.

The Racine Community Foundation stands at the forefront of enriching the lives of Racine County residents by fostering and facilitating charitable giving. With an annual commitment of over $2.5 million in grants to local nonprofits, the foundation plays a pivotal role in supporting organizations like ours. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is profoundly grateful for the Racine Community Foundation’s dedication to our shared mission of eradicating hunger. Thank you!
