Bookmark this page or print the pdf and check off these 12 things to do in 2022!

Learn about hunger.

In Wisconsin, more than half a million people are food insecure right now. Learning about hunger is the first step to making a change.

Read about stories of hunger on our blog or improve your understanding of hunger in Wisconsin through an interactive map.

Host a PB&J collection drive.

February is time for the PB&J Challenge! Peanut butter is one of the most sought-after items at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Along with being rich in protein, it is also easy enough for children to make a sandwich by themselves for any meal of the day if an adult isn’t available to help. And what’s Peanut butter without Jelly? Host a collection drive here, make a donation, or join in the fun on our social media pages.

Donate through your taxes.

Even though taxes aren’t due until April, we know you’re on top of it this year! Donating through your taxes is so easy.

Attend Grateful Plate.

You won’t want to miss our annual gala as we are back in person for the first time since 2019.

Save the date for Grateful Plate on April 7, 2022.

Volunteer at one of our food banks.

We have campuses in Milwaukee or Appleton. You or your group could spend a short shift sorting dry food, sorting produce, or packing boxes of food for local families in need.

If you’re not in either city, make it a family day-trip! Sign up for a volunteer shift here.

Advocate for better hunger policies.

We want to ensure that there is equitable access to food for people in our neighborhoods, and we all have a role to play in making that possible.

Contact your local officials, write a letter to the editor, or share your story of hunger. We’re in the fight to end hunger together!
