We are thrilled to have Mick join our Milwaukee volunteering team as a volunteer program specialist. In this role, Mick leads and assists our volunteer groups to ensure the time they spend with us is engaging and rewarding, from the time they arrive until the time they leave.

Mick is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in agriculture and a certificate in environmental studies. He is also the lead instrumentalist for the band Motel Breakfast.

Why did you want to apply for the volunteer program specialist position?
I wanted the opportunity to work with volunteers who are enthusiastic and motivated to make a difference in their communities and the communities of eastern Wisconsin.
What do you enjoy most about working with volunteers?
I enjoy the positive attitudes that volunteers bring with them every day. Being able to work with enthusiastic and optimistic people offering their time free of charge is a great experience.
Why are volunteers so important to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin?
Without volunteers to help sort and box our donations, we would not be able to provide our members with the food they require to distribute to the families of eastern Wisconsin.
What activities do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy going to concerts and playing music in my free time.
