Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin operates a number of outreach programs, providing healthy, nutritious food for those facing hunger. Thanks to Bank of Luxemburg, three pantries recently received additional fresh produce to be distributed in their pantries.  Lakeshore CAP in Sturgeon Bay, Kewaunee County Food Pantry in Kewaune, and Manna for Life Ministries in Green Bay were all beneficiaries.

With the help 40 Bank of Luxemburg employees, over 900 bags of produce were packed and distributed to local families in need of assistance. Produce that was included in these distributions were fresh apples, onions, oranges, sweet potatoes, red potatoes and Yukon potatoes. Volunteers handed out the produce to clients who came through the pantry as well as helped out with various projects at the pantries.

“Bank of Luxemburg volunteers spread a lot of happiness to clients coming through the pantries with this beautiful produce,” Alicia Gronowski, member services representative at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, shared. “And our pantries enjoyed having their help”

With the generosity from supporters like the Bank of Luxemburg, the food bank hosts 120 mobile pantries each year, providing approximately 10,000 pounds of food. Click here to read more about Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s outreach programs and how to get involved.
