Scouting for Food 2019

Thousands of Three Harbors Council scouts picked up bags filled with donated food on Saturday, March 16, for the annual Scouting for Food donation drive. Volunteers spent the morning collecting donations on doorsteps and bringing them to the eight local collection points. Once collected, the food was boxed up and put into a Schneider National semi truck where volunteer drivers delivered them to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. In just one day, scouts collected 101,000 pounds of food, which is equivalent to 84,000 meals. The food was distributed to Milwaukee County food pantries, meal programs and shelters.

We’d like to thank everyone in the community who donated food to help others, our Scouting for Food sponsor, Tri City National Bank, and our partners, Pick ‘n Save, Metro Market, WISN 12 News, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Schneider.
