Meet Alicia

My name is Alicia Gronowski and I am from Oshkosh. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout with a degree in Health, Wellness and Fitness.

In summer of 2017, I was lucky enough to land an internship with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin at the Appleton location. This internship allowed me to get a taste for each area of the food bank including grant writing, volunteer coordinating, FoodShare outreach and mobile pantries. Through this internship I experienced both sides of the non-profit working behind the scenes in the office, and out in the community. This work allowed me to understand the importance of the organization. It was amazing to meet the people who Feeding America Easter Wisconsin helps and hear their stories.

Though I was not able to land a position right after I was done with college, I did keep tabs on openings and saw an opportunity to apply recently with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. I am proud to say that I am now the new Member Services Representative of the organization and am doing my part to solve hunger in our communities by assisting our member agencies in building their capacity to feed more people.
