Fun Ways to Raise Funds

As part of earning his Black Belt in karate, Nikhil raised funds for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Instead of gifts for his birthday, he asked friends and family for donations for the food bank and raised $300. His mother Sapna and sister Tara joined him for the donation presentation and a volunteer shift.
This wasn’t their first experience with a hunger-relief organization. The mother-daughter duo traveled to Portugal and volunteered at a meal site that used food from local restaurants to feed the community. Tara is also selling baked goods this summer to raise donations for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
Organizing a fund drive is an easy and effective way to help solve hunger. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at either of our locations or submitted online.
Here are other fun ways to support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin:

Celebrate a Birthday

Host your birthday party at our warehouse to have fun with your friends and family while helping others in the community. Unable to volunteer? Host a fundraiser on Facebook where people can make a donation to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in honor of your birthday. (Be sure to select “Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Inc.” as the nonprofit).

Themed Food Sort

Are you a fan of the 60’s, 90’s, or maybe a specific band? Great! Help us plan a themed sorting day where your friends can come dressed up for the theme. We’ll provide a playlist and photo booth. Talk about a fun way to give back.

Troops

Do you know a child that’s in a boy/girl scout troop? Have fun while helping others in your neighborhood by donating three hours to sort food and to learn more about our food bank. We’d be happy to give a tour, talk about hunger awareness, and give them tasks to help get them excited about giving back.

Unable to sort food for three hours? No worries! We would love help with light office work like data entry and filing.

If any of these opportunities interest you, contact our volunteer engagement coordinators to schedule a your visit to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
