Sadly\, 1-in-6 children in Eastern Wisconsin are currently facing hunger\, and losing a reliable source of nutritious meals during the summer months is a major contributing factor. \nSummer hunger is real – and it can have devastating\, long-term consequences for children. SUMMARY:Feed the Body\, Feed the Soul
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Oshkosh Corporation®\, in partnership with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin\, the ninth annual Feed the Body\, Feed the Soul event returns on Thursday\, September 17\, 2026. This 12-hour celebration of volunteerism features over 1\,000 volunteers coming together to package and prepare over 250\,000 pounds of white and brown rice\, a high-demand staple at food pantries in Wisconsin. \nSince its launch in 2017 by Oshkosh Corporation\, ‘Feed the Body\, Feed the Soul’ has become a signature event for friends\, families\, co-workers\, and business leaders. Generous local sponsors fund the purchase of rice\, which is then secured by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Hundreds of community volunteers then come together to package the product\, which is ultimately distributed to food pantries throughout Northeast Wisconsin. \nThis year’s event takes place at the Oshkosh Arena in Oshkosh from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will include live music throughout the day to feed volunteers’ souls and keep energy levels high. \nEvent organizers are still looking for volunteers to fill two-hour time slots throughout the day\, but especially later in the day during the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. shift.
